Located at the foot of Mount Inerie
this village boosts the stone formation
the sacred ancestral shrines
and the traditional high thatch-roof houses
The umbrella-like pole embodying the male ancestor
symbolises fierceness and virility
is decorated with intricate carvings
topped with a warrior figure
A small hut with a thatched roof
resembles a miniature of a traditional house
symbolises the sanctuary of the house
resembling the female body
The megalithic formations in the village centre
a means to connect with the supernatural realm
a way to communicate with the ancestors
through the offerings of animal sacrifice
A massive pile of flat stones
represents the court of the village
where legal disputes are settled
