Splashing colour onto the quiet flow

Like the Lego houses of wooden plank

Opening the kiddie heart with pleasant glow

Not craving for the skyscrapers surge

mushrooming in the bustling crown

But yearning for the red shore houses merge

comfortably at the edge of a humble town

Comment :  The red shore houses on the river bank of  Borga a Porvoonjoki is a highlight of Porvoo. According to sources, red ochre paint was used to paint the shore houses in the late 18th century in honour of King Gustav III's arrival. All of the houses along his route were painted in order to make them look more beautiful. It was also said that the red ochre also helped protect the logs from wind and sun damage. These red shore houses have indeed added colour and charm to the small town of Porvoo.

也有说红漆能保护屋子的木，不被风吹雨打破坏。这些小红屋

的确给了不少的光彩于这古老的小镇。

Comment : Porvoo is a small town which you could cover within a couple of hours. However, this little corner which I have accidentally discovered, is presently a breathtaking spot tucked in a remote corner of the town,  hidden from the limelight of tourists. So, there was not a soul when I trod the path to this haven, savouring the quiet and beholding the beauty of the vicinity.

Note ： This corner is on the left of the bridge leading to the Cathedral.

无意间发现的这个偏僻角落可以让你流连忘返。这是被游客忽

略的一个小角落，虽无人烟，但风景宜人，而且也非常安全，

莫须恐慌和担忧，来到这里，就需尽情的放松，享受一个人

与世无争的世界吧！

Comment : This is a beautiful misty island with breathtaking landscape. There were not many tourists at the time of my visit, so I had the whole island to myself. Splendid! It was a wonderful half-day trip from Helsinki.

评语 ：烟雨蒙蒙的小岛上有迷人的景色。在没有别的旅客的情况下，整个岛屿顿时变成唯我独尊，恰似我拥有了岛上的点点滴滴，妙极了！从赫尔辛基，只需半日的游程，这昔日为防禦赫尔辛基的军事重镇会让你忘不了。。。。
