The Window
The window breaks my heart apart,
taking away my beloved sunshine,
leaving behind a cold and oppressive mind.
The window diverges my vision apart,
leading my listless eyes to the outside path,
so creepily it winds on the deadly tar.
I gaze at the pitch dark wall,
awaiting the sunshine that's stopped to burn,
sending vicious gases to the path of no return.

Comment: Coming back to Krakow from beautiful Zakopane, it's already a Monday noon. I was told that Schindler's List factory was free on Monday. Happily I rushed to the factory which is now a museum, but, alas, again I had to leave with regret for the second time in Krakow - 'There are no more tickets!' This was what I was told! Sadly I left the place but headed to the nearby Kazimierz , the Jewish quarter. There, I was eagerly searching for houses I saw in movies where the Jews were staring out through the windows with expression of despair and fear. Those squarish blocks of buildings, with lifeless windows and rundown walls, yes, I found them in fact. Gazing at these buildings, there was no delight in my heart at all, but only sigh after sigh and question after question as I vividly pictured the numerous cruel tortures and death .....
